Welcome to Manor Farm Academy

We have developed an environment where respect and honesty are valued, and individuality and difference are celebrated. By harnessing the sense of wonder, curiosity, determination and independence that we see in our youngest pupils, and by encouraging our pupils to never stop asking why, we hope that a love of learning that extends beyond our academy walls is fostered. It is important to us that every pupil that leaves Manor Farm Academy is the best that they can be, that they are kind, confident and articulate and that they have a strength in their own convictions.

Our curriculum is ambitious and fosters our pursuit of both academic excellence and personal development- no time is wasted in realising this.  Throughout their time at our academy, our pupils are inspired to discover new knowledge because of the deliberately planned opportunities for enrichment.

We believe that everyone in the school community: pupils, staff, parents and governors are partners with important contributions to make to the success and daily life of the academy. Manor Farm Academy is a warm and welcoming environment and we are dedicated to working together in order to achieve excellence and high outcomes for all of our pupils.

Earlier this week, we were lucky enough to be visited by former Olympic gymnast Sam Oldham. Sam was part of Team GB and won bronze at the London 2012 Olympics. He also represented Great Britain in the 2014 Commonwealth Games, winning a gold medal at the competition.

Sam shared his journey as a child- from trying gymnastics for the first time all the way to Olympic glory. His message was one of ambition, passion and resilience to never give up and follow something that is loved.

Pupils got the opportunity to work on their own gymnastics skills with Sam during the day, as well as holding his Olympic medal and the Olympic torch from London 2012.

Thank you Sam Oldham for inspiring our pupils!

Thank you so much for continuing to give our children these amazing, and inspirational experiences! The kids were buzzing talking about this yesterday 💖 🤸‍♀️

The children were SO excited for this experience! Thank you for bringing such an inspirational sport figure to the school!

Year 4 recently visited Lincoln Castle to bring to life their learning around Lincoln and the Magna Carta. Pupils learnt about the events which lead to the creation of Magna Carta during King John's reign and visited the vault where one of four original copies is kept.

Pupils then created shields featuring the coat of arms from different barons present at the signing of Magna Carta. The class then walked the walls of the castle and learnt about its history before acting out key historical events including the Battle of Lincoln 1217.
